Power to Hydrogen is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the team and help bring our innovative, green hydrogen technology to market. The focus of the position will be to provide design, development and test support to our technical team as they work to commercialize our next generation Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) Electrolyzers.
Responsibilities
· Build and test of prototypes to support R&D efforts
· Electrolyzer stack design support and build
· Electrolyzer test stand design support and fabrication
· Electrolyzer stack testing
· Prepare drawings and documentation of components, systems and processes following QS/ISO procedures
· Work with senior engineer to design and develop 3D models of components, assemblies and systems
· Create and maintain detailed bills of materials
· Electrolyzer system assembly and testing
· Collection and reduction of various test data
· Analysis and summary of results to technical team
· Preparation of technical reports
· Document and maintain system requirements and communicate to suppliers
DesiredQualifications/Skills
· Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
· Intern/Co-op industry experience (developing mechanical parts and assemblies)
· Experience with engineering modeling tools (Solidworks, Inventor, CREO), simulation experience using FEA analysis tools is a plus
· Ability to generate 2D drawings from 3D models for manufacturing (knowledge of GD&Tis a bonus)
· Hands-on prototyping, manufacturing, and assembly experience
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Passionate about working in R&D setting for a clean energy startup
· Adaptable, curious, self-motivated, works well in a team environment
· Must be a US Citizen or a permanent resident
Compensation: $70,000-$90,000 annual salary with standard benefits
