Power to Hydrogen is a leading Columbus cleantech startup developing clean hydrogen technology to solve the climate problems facing our globe. With existing partners, including NASA, American Electric Power, Shell, and the U.S.Department of Energy, the company is poised for rapid growth in the coming decade.

 

Power to Hydrogen is seeking multiple Engineering Interns for the Summer 2025 semester to join the team and help bring our innovative, green hydrogen technology to market. The focus of the internships will be to provide support to our technical team as they work to design, develop, build and test our next generation Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) Water Electrolyzers.

 

Responsibilities

·      Catalyst preparation and evaluation

·      Electrode fabrication – prototype and production environments

·      Preparation of electrolyzer cell/stack components

·      Electrolyzer stack design support and build

·      Electrolyzer test stand design support and fabrication

·      Electrolyzer stack testing

·      Electrolyzer system design support and assembly

·      Electrolyzer system testing

·      Prepare documentation of components and processes

·      Collection and reduction of various test data

·      Analysis and summary of results to technical team

·      Preparation of technical reports

 

Desired Qualifications/Skills

·      Pursuing a degree in engineering (mechanical and chemical preferred)

·      Interest in working in startup and R&D setting

·      Comfortable with chemical laboratory practices

·      Flexible to rotate through different functional areas

·      Experience with hands on work

·      Passionate about clean energy

·      Strong written and oral communication skills

·      Adaptable, curious, self-motivated

·      Must have their own transportation

 

Details

Full-time: 40 hours per week, 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday

Summer Semester: mid-May through Mid-August

Pay: $20/hr, bi-weekly paychecks

On-site: at our facility in Worthington, Ohio 15 minutes north of downtown Columbus
