Power to Hydrogen to Receive Funding
and Support through the Shell GameChanger program
COLUMBUS, Ohio October 2, 2020 – Shell GameChanger, a program that enables startups to prove the worthiness of their early-stage, energy-related ideas, has selected pioneering hydrogen and energy storage company, Power to Hydrogen, as a beneficiary of its funding and support. The funding will be used to further develop and scale up Power to Hydrogen’s revolutionary Clean Energy Bridge™, a reversible fuel cell technology than cost effectively generates hydrogen and produces power.
Power to Hydrogen’s GameChanger project is aimed at maturing and scaling-up the company’s proprietary reversible fuel cell stacks to achieve a multi-kW rating. The end result will validate the technology’s performance, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Power to Hydrogen CEO Tad Dritz noted the importance of being selected for the program: “This is a pivotal moment for Power to Hydrogen. Shell has an incredibly deep understanding of hydrogen and electrolysis. This provides a great vote of confidence in the potential of our technology and our young company.”
Companies are selected for the program based on a fit against four main criteria: novelty, potential value, do-ability and fit with Shell.
