Chemical Systems Engineer (Columbus, OH)

Power to Hydrogen is seeking a Chemical Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced technologies for energy storage applications. Power to Hydrogen is focused on development of reversible fuel cell systems and electrolysis systems. We have a need for an experienced chemical systems engineer. The position will be full-time with competitive salary and benefits (IRA/health-care HSA/paid time off)

Qualifications

  • A master’s or PhD degree in chemical engineering or a related field preferred

  • At least 5 years of relevant industrial experience preferred

  • Industrial experience in fuel cells, electrolysis, energy storage, gas processing, and/or electrochemical systems

  • Experience in refining/troubleshooting system designs for reduced cost, increased efficiency, and operating simplicity

  • Experience with developing process flow diagrams and instrumentation diagrams

  • Experience with advanced development projects, such as NASA, military, or ARPA-E

  • Experience with technical report writing

  • Laboratory experience working with benchtop processes and prototype designs

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of chemical engineering systems including Fuel Cells and Electrolyzers

  • Lead studies related to the laboratory synthesis, fuel cell/electrolyzer design, and pilot-scale production

  • Process modeling (knowledge of relevant software a plus)

  • Data compilation, data reduction, data review, and data analysis
    Documentation of findings and results, including reports, power point presentations, and proposals
