Power to Hydrogen is a leading cleantech startup developing clean hydrogen technology to solve the climate problems facing our globe. With existing partners, including NASA, American Electric Power, Shell, and the U.S. Department of Energy, the company is poised for rapid growth in the coming decade.

The company is looking for an electrolyzer engineer with a background in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, and/or systems design.  Experience with hydrogen systems is highly desirable.  The position will be located remotely in Europe, with occasional travel to company headquarters in the United States, a project site in Antwerp, and other project sites in Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Support design of hydrogen generation and energy storage systems
  • Specification of electrolysis system components
  • System modelling to support design decisions
  • Contribute to design failure mode and effect analysis
  • Provide input regarding process flow diagrams
  • Provide input regarding system layout design
  • Familiarity with electrolyzer qualification testing
  • Interface with other mechanical, chemical, software, and electrical engineers
  • Assembly of prototype systems
  • Support testing and maintenance of prototype and pilot systems

Qualifications

  • At least a B.S. in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field with >3 years of experience
  • Experience with system design (either CAD or process design) or related software
  • Ability to communicate in English across engineering disciplines
  • Ability to speak additional languages a plus
